A VOLUNTEER has celebrated her 90th birthday at the lunch club in Beverley where she still helps out.
Mary Glass, who lives in Beverley, has been a volunteer with Hull and East Yorkshire Mind since it was formed 30 years ago.
She still goes along to the Mind lunch club held at Norwood Methodist Church Hall, where she was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a birthday cake.
In the early days, Mary cooked lunch for all the members of the lunch club, and has also helped with fund-raising in the town. Before her retirement, she was a senior nurse at Broadgate Hospital in Walkington. …
