NSW: Snow report for New South Wales
SYDNEY, Aug 23 AAP - The New South Wales snow report:
FORECAST: Fine and mainly sunny with light to moderate northeast to easterly winds.
OUTLOOK: Tomorrow, fine; Wednesday, fine; Thursday, mainly fine, freshening winds.
CONDITIONS: Excellent cover across most resorts, with morning runs the fastest.
PERISHER: 26 lifts operating, including Mt perisher and Olympic for the more advanced.
SMIGGINS: 12 lifts, great for all standards.
BLUE COW: Eight lifts.
GUTHEGA: Four lifts.
THREDBO: All lifts operating, with top to bottom cover on all trails.
CHARLOTTE PASS: All lifts operating.
SELWYN: Six lifts, including Racecourse, Township, New Chum Bowl and Home Run.
CROSS-COUNTRY CONDITIONS: Nordic shelter groomed yesterday. Learners Loop and the 2.5, 5,
7.5 and 10km loops were groomed and set this morning. The Smiggins 2km and 4km loops were
groomed Friday, have good cover but thin in areas. Kosciuszko Road and the Wheatley and
Porcupine links both have good cover and were groomed on August 14. Piper Link was packed on
August 10 but is thin in areas.
ROAD: Kosciuszko Road is open to Perisher; Guthega Road is clear and open; Alpine Way is
open to Thredbo over Dead Horse Gap and Leatherbarrel Creek; The Snowy Mountains Highway is
open.
