Fed: If court orders us to release kids, we will: Ruddock
Immigration Minister PHILIP RUDDOCK says the federal government would release fivechildren from immigration detention if the Family Court made the order.
However, Mr RUDDOCK says he'd seek advice on further legal action to keep the childrenlocked up if the Court made such a ruling.
The minister's comments come as lawyers in Adelaide seek the release of five childrencurrently being detained.
Two boys are being held with their father at the Baxter facility while their threesisters are together their pregnant mother in home detention in Woomera in South Australia.
